  • Psychometric testing? But I am a person still in progress!

I took my first stab at psychometric analysis by doing an online test that my friend Kim Sellentin posted on her twitter account.  Not *exactly* scientific, but I was actually surprised to read over the profile it determined for me and saw myself in it, good and bad points. Since then I’ve taken... Read→

http://www.develop-online.net/features/429/The-2009-UK-Games-Development-Salary-Survey My facebook status about comparable salaries is now spamming everyone that has commented on it, so I thought I’d move the discussion over to my website. Salary discussion is always interesting. There are many... Read→

  • The Polarisation of Industry

Lately there has been a lot of polarizing talk about the games industry. Speculation is rife that in order to succeed, a studio must choose – blockbuster, or casual? Agile or waterfall? Managed or unmanaged? At a studio level, developers are pushing themselves to have a specialty. At a publisher level,... Read→

welcome to Lauren Pears Website

I’m Lauren Pears, Project Manager/Associate Producer and co-owner of the fledgling Seadragon Studio.

This site is the platform that will support some of my primary professional interests, namely: Process Modelling for games development, independent games and app development for social media, and general interest in the news and business of making games.

It’s a new website for a new year, with many thanks to Guy Blomberg for an excellent design and for supporting this site, which I hope will become a place for collaboration and discussion for how production processes can contribute to making better games, better ways. Welcome! --Lauren
